Alex Ovechkin Scores 600th Career Goal

Capitals star Alex Ovechkin has become the 20th player in NHL history to reach 600 career goals, further cementing his status as one of the league's all-time best offensive talents.

The Capitals captain scored twice Monday night in Washington's 3-2 overtime win over the Jets to reach the milestone in his 990th regular-season game. No. 600 came 3 minutes, 53 seconds into the second period and marked his 42nd goal this season, which leads the NHL.

David Poile Becomes Winningest GM In NHL History

David Poile now has the most wins in NHL history as a general manager.

Viktor Arvidsson scored a pair of goals as Poile's Western Conference-leading Predators rallied for a 4-2 victory over the Oilers on Thursday night.

The victory was the 1,320th in Poile's career, surpassing Glen Sather, the front-office leader for the Oilers' dynasty of the 1980s who later took over the Rangers in 2000.
